2016: Breakout Room
My son and I love escape rooms, and I was able to find a great discount on Groupon.com for one that was near us – Breakout Indianapolis. We invited some friends to join us for the evening, and ended with supper at a Thai restaurant.
We were not allowed to take pictures inside of the game room, so all of the pictures are from the lobby. The room that we were solving was a casino theme, and so I selected gambling background papers from a paper pack that I had and perfectly matched the colors of the logo of the breakout room that we were at. I used black to border all of the pictures and ephemera, to help them stand out against the busy background page.
The ephemera on the page includes a round sticker in the left hand corner. I used a a swivel blade and circle cutter to create the black border for the sticker. On the right hand page is the casino wristband which was our entrance ticket for the escape room, and also part of the business card that I cut down to better fit on the page. I used a jagged edge tearing tool to create the double torn edges on the spread.
