Ephemera are the items that one collects from an experience, trip or special occasion to remind one of the event.  This can include things like tickets, receipts, menus, flowers, maps, and brochures.  I usually like to collect unusual ephemera which includes things like sand from Major League Baseball outfields, bark from trees, glass, patches, props from plays, confetti from parades, and swizzle sticks.  Ephemera can really be anything that you want to preserve in your scrapbook.  Just remember that it cannot be too thick or heavy or it will not fit in your scrapbook properly.
