Washi tape

Washi tape is a Japanese sturdy tape that is similar to packing tape or duct tape but has recently become popular with crafters and is available in all kinds of colors and patterns.

Washi tape is often made from natural fibers like bamboo or hemp but can also been made from the bark of trees found in Japan: mulberry, mitsumata shrub, or the gampi tree.

Scrapbookers can use it for accents, borders, or even to hold photographs or ephemera to the page.

There are hundreds of different designs that you can buy online at Scrapbook.com.
