2011: Visiting Family and Asbury College
As part of our Summer 2011 travels we went to Wilmore Kentucky to visit my sister and her family. My brother-in-law worked at Asbury College at the time, and took us to visit the theatre and communications department where we go to see some cool props from movie and TV shows.
The background for this spread was chosen based on the color of my sons shirt in the left hand page, as well as representing the high level of energy that was in the air during our visit. The left hand page has pictures of my son with his cousins. He served as a jungle gym for most of the visit :).
I cut out the letters for the Title using my Cricut Machine. I tried to cut out a shadow for bordering the letters, but I did something wrong. Instead of them being bigger than the red letters the turned out shorter. I used them anyway and it did create a cool effect.
I cut only the outside corners of my photo blocks with a round corner punch to mimic the circles in the background page design.
