2022: Greenville University Homecoming Parade
In October 2022 we travelled to Greenville, IL to participate in our Alma Mater’s Homecoming. This spread shares pictures from the Homecoming Parade as well as a pocket that holds the ephemera from the weekend’s events.
Greenville University’s colors are orange and black and are reflected in the color scheme for this spread. I found the University Logo online as used Cricut Design Space to design these pages, and then used my Cricut Machine to create the cuts.
The left-hand page has the logo cut out from it, and then I put an orange backing behind the cutout out. I then used a second orange sheet to create the pocket from the back. I carefully placed the logo and the pocket slit cut when making the cut. The YouTube video below shares in detail how I put the small pieces of the logo on the page, as well as the process to create the pocket.
The right-hand page has six photos from the Homecoming Parade which have been covered with a custom design matting on top of the photos. The crossbar logos are miniature GU logos.
For my Greenville University/College friends – don’t forget to come to the Greenville University Homecoming this year which is 19-21 October, 2023.
