2023: Memorial to Spike – Brushing

I could never tell if Spike loved being brushed or not. He would always try to play or run away when I was brushing him, but then he would come back right away. I had to get into the practice of holding him down with my legs so that I could keep him still enough to brush him properly. And with his long curly hair we had to do it pretty often or he would get all kinds of hair knots. As he got older, we started to cut his hair to make it easier on him.
The left-hand background paper came from the Dog paper pack that I purchased, and I was able to find some similar wood board paper that I used for the right-hand side. I created the title block for this page using Cricut Design Space and then drew it and cut it using my Cricut Maker. This one took quite a long time to do as the writing and the brushes were drawn by pen.
I used a light brown paper to mat the pictures and the title block, and then used a button brad to fill in the middle of the photo block on the right-hand page.
