2023: Memorial to Spike – Summer
This spread in our golden Retriever, Spike’s, memorial album highlights the joys of summer. The dogs love laying with me in or near the hammock and enjoy frolicking in the grass with us.
For this spread I continued using wood board paper which mimicked the wooden deck that we use to have on the back porch. I created the title block for this spread using Cricut Design Space and drew and cut it out using my Cricut Maker.
I took another piece of paper with dog paw prints in cement and split it to use as torn edge borders on both sides of the spread. I chose not to use matting on the photos in this spread, and also added a large, pre-printed sticker that came with the dog paper pack on the right-hand page. While the design is simple, I think that it portrays the carefree days of the summer spent together.
