2020: Memorial to Joey – Cat Attack
I know that not all cats do this, but Joey used to love to hide at the end of my bed and then jump up and bite my feet! He also loved trying to bite my hands. While he was normally a loving cat – this seemed to be his nighttime routine before he settled in to sleep at the end of my bed. This spread captures some moments of his sneakiness and deviousness as he was trying to get me!
I chose the “paw” background paper for this spread and then selected the blue matting to compliment the background paper. I designed the matting, title block, and graphics using Cricut Design Space, and then drew and cut out all of the pieces using my Cricut Maker.
The black kitten graphic was cut out, and carefully glued to the matting. While I really like the way that this turned out, it took about an hour to carefully “weed” the design off of the sticky cutting mat, and to place it in the correct place on the mat.
