2020: Memorial to Joey – Meeting the New Puppy

For some reason I decided that I need to add one more pet to our household! So, I brought home a Chihuahua puppy. Joey was very curious about this new addition to our family these two had a lot of fun together over the years. We had a Swedish exchange student living with us at the time, and he named the puppy “Snobben” which is Swedish for Snoopy, and the name stuck!

The pictures on the right-hand side are from the first day home, and those on the left are from a couple weeks later.

I designed this spread on Cricut Design Space, and then used my Cricut Maker to draw and cut out the journalling, graphics, and matting. The cat graphic had the eyes looking up, and I was able to carefully move the pupils to look down within Design Space which I thought was very helpful as I wanted the cat eyes to be watching the Chihuahua graphic.

I chose a brown background cardstock for this spread to go with the colors in the photos, and then used a wide torn edge border with paw graphics to being interest into the spread. As with many other pages in this Joey Memorial Album, I used my sewing machine to stitch the ribbon decorative pattern along the left-hand side border to tie the pages together.
