2022: Enchant – Spread 2
This is the second spread from my visit to Enchant in Dallas, TX in December 2022. When we entered the experience, we were handed passport books to collect stamps at the experience. There were 8 stamps in all, and we collected all of them!
The stamps are Teddy Bear, Ballerina, Rubik’s Cube, Duck, Train, Dinosaur, Rocking Horse, and Airplane. If you click on the photo to the right, it will expand so that you can see it in closer detail. I was able to get photographs of six of the 8 stamps – two of them had too many people around to get a good picture.
To make sure that I honored all 8 locations in the spread I added a pen drawn ballerina, and a teddy bear cutout to the spread.
The matting, pen drawing, and graphic were all created in Cricut Design Space, and then drawn and cut out using my Cricut machine. The passport will be attached to the outside of the plastic page protector so that the viewer can open it. My hope is that they will make the connection between the stamps and the photos and graphics, and it will be a fun moment for the reader.
I selected a blurry night light background paper for this spread to mimic the lights in the pictures, and black for the matting – so that the ballerina (in gold), and the items in the photos that have black backgrounds, would stand out more.
