2024: Memorial - Peggy Hill - Greenville, IL Service

My parents lived in Greenville IL for about 10 years before moving with me to Oklahoma in October 2020. Greenville, IL has been the family home and gathering spot for about 50 years, with many members, including myself, attending Greenville University which is located in the town. We knew that we wanted to hold a service of Remembrance in Greenville, as we had had a very quick turnaround time for a service in Oklahoma as family were already in town to say goodbye to my mother.

It took a while to find a date that worked for both my dad and I and the church but we finally landed on the Saturday of Memorial weekend and we flew to Greenville for the service.

The left hand page shares pictures of my father speaking, and the beautiful flowers that the church had for us. The right hand page has several family friends sharing tributes and memories of my mother.

I continued the Victorian theme of the album, and used red for the accent to play off of the color of the alter. I again used the torn page effect to help solve getting the background paper to fit the 8.5×11 album. I used butterfly and flower embellishments from my mother’s collection to complete the effect.
