2023: Naughty Beavers got my tree
This spread shares some pictures on the left page of what is left of one of the trees that was growing on my dam wall – some beavers felled it and stripped it of all of its branches in just one night! I woke up in the morning and was looking at the pond and thinking that something was wrong and when I went out to explore I found this tree trunk void all of branches and its bark!
This spread is more likely to end up in the album that I create for our Oklahoma home, but the photos fell within the 2023 year and so I decided to make it now and save it for that album. The layout was designed on Cricut Design Space and then cut our using my Cricut Maker. I decided to use the busy background paper in some way to show the chaos of the event, and also force the viewer to look in more carefully at the photos. The top two pictures show what remains of the tree, and the bottom picture shows the drag marks into the pond.
In an attempt to feel better about losing a tree I decided to use the right-hand page a comical beaver which takes up the whole page.
