2023: Disney Trip – Epcot World Showcase – Norway – Frozen

Into the Unknown: A Ride Through Arendelle
One of the new experiences for me on this trip was riding Frozen Ever After in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT. I had been on the original Maelstrom ride years ago, so I was curious to see how the space had been transformed—and let me tell you, Disney really let it go! This beautifully immersive boat ride brings the kingdom of Arendelle to life, inviting guests to journey through some of the most beloved scenes from Frozen. From the moment you set sail, you’re surrounded by shimmering snowflakes, glowing lanterns, and enchanting music. You glide past Olaf and Sven, float into Elsa’s icy palace, and even feel a chill in the air as she belts out Let It Go—complete with magical snow and glittering effects. There’s even a small surprise drop that adds a little thrill to your storybook adventure. With incredible animatronics and all the heart of the film, Frozen Ever After is truly a ride worth melting for.
For this layout, I used background paper, the Norway title, and the Frozen title all from ScrapYourTrip.com, and they fit the theme perfectly. The matting for the professional ride photo on the left-hand page also came from the same shop. You’ll spot Mickey and Minnie joining us on the ride—placed strategically to cover someone we decided not to include in the final layout. On the right-hand page, I designed the matting in Cricut Design Space and cut it out using my Cricut Maker, including the delicate snowflake accents on both sides. I chose blues and icy greens to match the cool tones of the background paper and bring that frosty Frozen vibe to life. Overall, I was really impressed with the ride’s storytelling and technology—it felt like stepping right into the world of Elsa and Anna.
