2023: Disney Trip – Disney Springs – Rainforest Cafe

Roaring into Supper: Rainforest Café at Disney Springs
We swung into an early supper at Rainforest Café in Disney Springs, where dinner isn’t just served—it’s roared to life. This wild dining spot immerses you in the sights and sounds of a tropical jungle, complete with thick vines, misty waterfalls, and animatronic creatures that spring into action as thunder rumbles through the canopy. From chattering monkeys to trumpeting elephants, the rainforest is alive all around you. Under a starlit ceiling and beside rumbling volcanoes, guests can feast on a jungle-sized menu featuring everything from burgers and pasta to seafood favorites—and of course, the famous Volcano lava cake, which erupts with chocolate, caramel, and whipped cream in a dramatic finale. It’s a dining experience that blends Disney magic with rainforest adventure, perfect for explorers of all ages.
For this scrapbook layout, I let the jungle speak for itself. The left-hand page features background paper and a Rainforest Café title block, both purchased from Scrapyourtrip.com. I especially love the cheerful green frog nestled on that page—it perfectly captures the playful spirit of the restaurant. I kept embellishments to a minimum, letting the wild textures of the paper and photos do the talking. You’ll notice two photos cropped down to 4×4—partly for layout balance, and partly to trim out someone we didn’t want to include in this particular spread.
The right-hand page was created using Cricut Design Space and cut with my Cricut Maker. If you look closely, you’ll spot a paper volcano erupting with a bit of real Disney magic: in the photo on the left, my Volcano lava cake came with a metallic sparkler—and yes, I saved it. I carefully tucked the sparkler into the top of the volcano cutout, making it look like it’s actively erupting off the page! Getting it to stand upright inside the plastic page protector was a bit of a jungle expedition in itself, but I absolutely love the way it turned out.
If you’d like to see how I wrestled this wild layout into place, be sure to watch the video linked below—no machete required!
