2025: Stella Graduation – Title Page
A Graduation Gift for Stella – Vet Tech Dreams Come True! 🐾🎓
This spread jumps slightly out of my usual scrapbook timeline, but for a very good reason—I wanted to get it finished early so I could send it as a graduation gift to my son’s wonderful girlfriend, Stella. She recently graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Eastern Florida State College, and I couldn’t be prouder of her accomplishment!
For those who may not be familiar, Eastern Florida State College is a public college located along Florida’s Space Coast, offering associate and bachelor’s degrees in a wide variety of fields. The Vet Tech program prepares students to become veterinary technicians—skilled professionals who assist veterinarians in clinical settings. They perform tasks like drawing blood, monitoring anesthesia, taking X-rays, administering medications, and providing direct patient care for animals. It’s a challenging and compassionate career path, and Stella has worked incredibly hard to get there.
To celebrate this milestone, I created a special 8.5 x 11 album—smaller than my usual size, but perfect for mailing and just the right fit for a collection of around 8 pages. The entire album uses paper from a pet-themed paper pack, which felt like the perfect backdrop to honor Stella’s new profession.
For the title page, I used Cricut Design Space to create a multi-layered version of the Eastern Florida State College logo. I found the logo online and carefully recreated it with four distinct layers: a brown base, a white layer with the text cut out (so much easier than gluing each tiny letter), followed by a blue and green layer that mirrors the school’s official colors.
To embellish the layout, I added some older Jolee’s Boutique 3D stickers—which turned out to be more of a project than expected! The original adhesive had worn off, so I had to replace it with fresh glue. It was a bit of a reminder (and maybe a warning) that some older stickers in my stash might need a refresh before using.
The background paper I chose for this page was just right—brown and white circles with a splash of green that perfectly ties in with the college logo. Thoughtful touches like this are what make a themed album so special.
