2016: Play – 39 Steps
During 2016, we attended the play “39 Steps” at our local university. I took one picture of the set, and was not allowed to take any pictures during the show. However I collected quite a bit of ephemera for the event, and through that it would be fun to create a spread of the play.
I chose an antique industrial theme for this page to mimic the design of the stage set. One of the elements from the set was a brick wall, and I used brick paper (left over from my Boston Freedom Trail series) for the page edges, as well as a double torn edge. The ephemera on the page includes the program, our two tickets, and a “wanted” poster that served as a promotional item for the play. Each of these elements is bordered in a dark color to help them stand out on the busy background.
