2022: Title and End Pages

I usually do not like to be more than one year behind in my scrapbooking, but this has been a hard year and so I got a couple of months beyond a year. I am happy to share that over the weekend I finished my 2022 album with a total of 42 spreads! I was able to get them all into one 3-ring binder, and the final step is creating the Title page, the End page, and for this album, a mini page to fit in the picture slot in the front cover of the Album itself.

I always wait to create these final pages so that I can decide on what the main theme for the year is, and then incorporate that into the design

This is the first page in my album for 2022. After reviewing the 42 spreads for the year, it was clear that I did a lot of travelling, and a lot of travelling related to learning and growth, hence the title. I chose a brown theme for these pages to match the color of the album itself, so that when it was opened it remained harmonious. The design incorporates a generic city map and a seedling, representing the two themes for the album.

This is the final page in the album, and copies the Title page, but without the wording. I used a larger version of the seedling graphic on this page. All three of these were designed in Cricut Design Space, and then drawn and cut using my Cricut Maker. The maps took quite a while to draw as there are so many lines in the design.

This final design is for the photo slot in the album cover and is only 4 inches by 4 inches. I used Cricut Design Space to shrink down the elements used on the Title page to create this, and then slide it into the photo slot in the album cover. Sometimes I do use a photo in this location, but I thought it would be nice to have a place to highlight the year of the album.
