2017: Saying Goodbye to First Truck
Near the end of the year, my son’s truck, which was the first vehicle he had in his own name, decided that it was not going to move. I had it picked up by a tow truck to take to a repair shop, but I had a feeling that we were not going to see it again, and sure enough the call came that it was going to cost more to fix it than we paid for it in the first place, so I was glad that I took these pictures for my son.
I chose a rusty metal theme for this spread since the truck had quite a bit of rust itself. I attached the photographs using sticky tabs, but then added rivets using my Crop-A-Dile Big Bite punch which punches the holes and also sets the rivets. I choose the rivet colors to match the browns and turquoise of the background papers.
