2018: Carmel Christkindlmarkt
We learned about the Carmel Christkindlmarkt earlier in the year, and I wanted to make sure that we put it on our calendar so that we would have an opportunity to go. I picked a date that turned out to be nice and sunny, but very cold! We had opportunity to ice skate and enjoy all kinds of traditional German Christmas time food. Unfortunately this even is cancelled this year due to COVID19, but I encourage you, if you are in the area, to make this an annual family event.
Due to the blue skies in some of the pictures and the children’s passbook, I chose a blue theme for this page. Unfortunately my picture has turned out looking more purple than the page really is. I cut the left and right borders from another scrap page, and used my Cricut Machine to cut out the date of the event.
If you look closely at the frame on the items on the right hand page you will notice that it is one large border that follows the contour of the items. I accomplished this by first attaching the pictures and wristband, and then carefully using my cutting tool to cut the thin border. I did this because I wanted more of the beautiful background paper to show through on the spread.
The passport is affixed to the outside of the plastic page protector so that they viewer can open it to see what is inside.
