2017: Hogwarts Express Ride

Spring Break 2017 – Orlando: Hogwarts Express Ride

2017: Hogwarts Express Ride

This spread is the inside 4 pages of the six-page Hogwarts Express set which is within a panoramic fold out page protector. All of the pictures are from the waiting line or actually from the ride.  The train actually moves between the Islands of Adventure and the Universal Studios parks.  It appears that you are looking out the windows of the train, but they are actually screens that show some pretty cool scenery from the Harry Potter movies.  You are also visited by some chocolate frogs and Death Eaters – so beware.

TIP:  Universal Studios Orlando Tickets:  If you want to ride the Hogwarts Express you must have a 2-park ticket so that you can ride the Hogwart’s Express ride between the two parks.  I suggest going to Universal Studios first and ride from Diagon Alley to Hogwarts, and then make the return trip after spending time at Hogwarts.  If you want to do other things in the two parks, then you will really need to have a 2-day pass as it is impossible to see everything in one day.

The experience is different depending on which way your ride the train, so I suggest making plans so that you can ride it both directions.

I used some antiqued European map background paper for this spread and cut the train using my Cricut machine.  I found the train SVG image online and used Cricut Design Space to edit it.  Once it was cut, I used a black marker to edge the entire cut out so that it stood out better against the background.  I also bordered the pictures in black so that they too would stand out against the background.

If you click on the image, it will make it bigger so that it is easier to see the detail.
