Should We Scrap Covid?
Recently someone asked in a Scrapbook Facebook Group if we should create scrapbook pages from these times during Covid? My answer is a resounding YES!
Here are the reasons why I think that this is important, in no particular order:
- We need to remain creative and active to get our spirits positive. For many of us, creating is an outlet that brings us energy.
- We need to record all parts of our lives – both the good and the bad. We learn from both, and reflecting back even on bad times helps us to learn and grow. So, don’t worry about your children later in life being depressed by seeing Covid pages. My guess is that they will look back on these times with fond memories.
- My gut is that you have done some new and cool things that you may not have done if we weren’t locked in – recording them now may help us to remember to do them again.
- We need to create records of what we did during these times for historians hundreds of years from now when they are trying to understand this century. (I know – we all hope that our scrapbooks are going to be passed down generations after us!)
