Bernie in my Craft Room

January 2021 – I am still alive

It has been almost a year (ok – 11 months) since I have posted a spread on this blog – and I wanted to let you all know that I am alive and well.

As you can imagine, this has been a hard last 11 months for the world, and has kept me from getting much done in the scrapbooking realm.

When Covid19 started hitting the US it created quite a bit of new work and stress for me in my job, and I pretty much was focusing on that for all of March through May 2020. I pretty much was at work (alone and socially distanced) and came home and fell asleep exhausted.

In addition to that, I had been looking for a new job for about a year, and I was spending a lot of time in phone and “onsite” Zoom interviews. In early June I was offered a new role as Vice President of Student Development at East Central University in Ada, OK. So I started packing up my home of 12 years for the move in early June and moved in July 2020. On top of that my parents and I decided that it would be a good time to move together, so my parents started packing up and selling their house and they moved in with me in October 2020. We have unpacked pretty much everything except the garage and shed, and we will organize those in the Spring. All of that to say – I spent from June to January packing my house, moving two homes, and unpacking two homes into one. So – I am tired :).

The fun part is that I was able to design and organize a new craft room – my mother and I have combined all our stuff, and now we have a room that is a combined scrapbook, card, and sewing room. We are almost done with that, and when it is done I will write a post with pictures!

So my hope is to start posting regularly again, but don’t hold your breath! We shall see how things go.
