2021: Disney – Hollywood Studios – Galaxy’s Edge

The main reason that we spent the day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was to experience Galaxy’s Edge, the fairly new Star Wars themed area. We were not disappointed as it was a great day. Since we were staying at one of the Disney hotels, we were able to get early access and were able to ride Rise of the Resistance twice during the day – once because of the early short line, and the second time using the Disney Genie.

This is the first of several spreads that you will see from Galaxy’s Edge. I was able to find photographic Galaxy’s Edge themed scrapbook paper at Scrap Your Trip and you will see some of it on almost every page for the next few blogs. The Star Wars title block on this page also came from the same online store. I normally like to create my own title blocks – but this one was perfect and since I was buying several things it was worth it. I still had to put it together which is part of the fun.

I did cut the Yoda character out myself using my Cricut machine, as well as the mat for the right-hand page. Notice that the Death Star has been cut out of the middle so that you can see the background paper through it. This is a new technique that I have been using lately to create interest in the middle of the 4-photo block design. The yellow background paper came from a Star Wars paper pack that I found on Amazon. The pictures on this page are from the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction.

Currently, for most of my scrapbook creations I have also created videos that show me putting them together and talking about the experiences as well as the techniques that I am using. So please enjoy watching this spread being created and assembled:
