2023: Fort Worth – Del Frisco’s and Cowboy Hat Sculpture

This spread shows two events from the same evening. A friend and I were planning a trip to the symphony and decided to eat at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse beforehand. Afterwards as we were exploring downtown we found a large mirrored cowboy hat sculpture and took some pictures with it.

I chose browns for the theme to complement the browns in the restaurant photos. The entire layout was designed in Cricut Design Space and then cut out using my Cricut Maker. I cut the cowboy hat from a sturdy silver glitter cardstock. I usually do not like glitter cardstock because it comes apart too easily, but this brand holds onto the glitter extremely well.

I used a jagged edge tearing tool to create the borders, and then used my sewing machine to sew the border. I also stitched a line around the cream paper on the lefthand page so that it would look like a napkin or a table cloth.
