2023: Upward Bound Trip – Ending Ephemera Pocket and Airplane Tickets
We’ve finally arrived at the last spread of this trip’s album! For me, the final page is always a single page, as it’s positioned at the end of the book. I often use this space as an ephemera pocket, and that’s exactly what I did here. It’s a practical and creative way to store leftover items that didn’t find a place on the main pages but still hold sentimental value.
For this page, I used Cricut Design Space to create a custom airplane design and matting for our return tickets. I cut them out using my Cricut Maker, which gave them a polished and professional look. The background paper is from my New York-themed pack, featuring a building design. To add dimension, I carefully slit a line at the window level of the background paper, turning it into an interactive pocket.
Inside the pocket, I tucked a small bag (from the 9/11 Memorial Gift Shop) filled with leftover ephemera from the trip—things like maps, ticket stubs, and other memorabilia that didn’t make it onto specific pages.
