2023: Disney Trip – Epcot World Showcase – UK, Morocco, and Canada

This scrapbook spread highlights three of the unique pavilions at EPCOT’s World Showcase: the United Kingdom, Morocco, and Canada. Since I didn’t take as many photos in these areas, I decided to bring them together into a single cohesive layout that still honors the distinct charm of each pavilion.
Canada Pavilion
The Canada Pavilion welcomes guests with the rugged beauty of the great outdoors, featuring cascading waterfalls, rocky cliffs, and a stunning garden modeled after Victoria’s famed Butchart Gardens. A replica of the Château Laurier towers over the landscape, blending natural splendor with architectural elegance. From the stirring Circle-Vision film Canada Far and Wide to the cozy charm of the Trading Post gift shop and the rich flavors at Le Cellier Steakhouse, this pavilion offers a majestic tribute to Canada’s wilderness and warm hospitality.
United Kingdom Pavilion
Stepping into the United Kingdom Pavilion feels like wandering through a quaint British village, complete with cobblestone streets, red phone booths, and Tudor-style architecture. From the bustling tea shop to the classic fish and chips at the Rose & Crown Pub, every corner evokes the charm of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Whether you’re stopping for a singalong with the pavilion’s street performers or shopping for tartan scarves and Beatles memorabilia, it’s a delightful dose of British culture in the heart of EPCOT.
Morocco Pavilion
The Morocco Pavilion is a mesmerizing blend of intricate tilework, hand-carved wood, and winding alleyways that echo the ambiance of a North African medina. Unique among World Showcase pavilions, it was designed with the support of the Moroccan government to ensure authenticity, right down to the prayer tower modeled after the Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakesh. With its spice-scented shops, lush courtyards, and flavorful fare from Tangierine Café and Restaurant Marrakesh, the pavilion offers an immersive escape into the artistry and traditions of Moroccan culture.
The left-hand page of this spread focuses on the United Kingdom, featuring themed paper and a title block from Scrapyourtrip.com. I included a very serious-looking photo with one of the Queen’s Guard statues, along with a professional picture—strategically enhanced with a Pluto sticker to cover someone we’d rather not remember.
On the right-hand page, the background paper came from a vintage 1990s Disney pack, but the colors worked perfectly. I created custom photo mats for both Morocco and Canada using Cricut Design Space and cut them with my Cricut Maker, adding a maple leaf cutout to tie in Canada’s national symbol. A torn-edge border helped extend the vintage paper to a full 12 inches wide. In the end, I’m really happy with how these three very different cultural moments came together in one unified layout.
