2025: Texas Ranger Museum - Waco, TX

This scrapbook spread represents our visit to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco, Texas. The museum is dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of the legendary Texas Rangers, the oldest state law enforcement agency in the nation. Inside, visitors can explore exhibits on famous Rangers, historic firearms, badges, and artifacts that showcase nearly two centuries of service. The Hall of Fame also honors Rangers who gave their lives in the line of duty, and the museum continues to serve as an educational resource for Texas history and culture.

For the design of this spread, I wanted to reflect the Texas spirit. I chose a blue background so that when paired with the red and white elements, the overall color scheme became red, white, and blue—the colors of the Texas state flag. I designed the entire layout in Cricut Design Space and cut everything with my Cricut Maker. On the right-hand page, I featured a graphic I created by importing the Texas Ranger logo I found online. The red and white star logo became the centerpiece of that side of the spread. I also added a metal walking stick badge that I purchased from the museum gift shop. Since they didn’t have stickers that fit the theme, I thought the badge would be a creative and authentic alternative.

The left-hand page includes two photos from outside the museum, including a special one of my dad and me. To highlight the museum’s historical markers and signs, I used a clear plastic photo protector insert. This allowed me to include three different photos of the interpretive signage in a flip-through format, which adds an interactive touch to the page.

This was such a fun spread to design, and I feel like it captures both the museum’s rich history and the pride of Texas. If you’d like to see how the entire spread came together, click on the video below.
