2016: Golf N Stuff and Adventures with Birds
While we were in California we went on a couple of different adventures. The left hand spread shows some time that we spent in a local park, and the right-hand page shares some pictures and ephemera from Golf N Stuff, a local entertainment place that was featured in the movie “Karate Kid”. (See the movie clip below)
The theme and color scheme for this spread is very subtle. If you look closely at the picture of my son standing next to the large cowboy boot on the miniature golf course you will see that it has a star on it. This theme is played out in the background papers, and in the brads that I used in the middle of the photo spreads on both pages. The solid border paper then was chosen based on the color scheme of the “star” background paper.
I used a jagged edge tearing tool to create the double and triple borders on the sides of the pages. On the right hand page I created a pocket to slide the score card into. I did this because I wanted all three of those pictures in the spread, and the score card was too long to fit. The viewer can pull the score card out to find out who won the game :).
