2016: Christmas Trip to California
After the Christmas time with my sister and her family we traveled to California where we visited family and friends in Los Angeles and San Diego. The next few spreads are from this trip, however they are not necessarily in chronological order. Instead I decided to create themes of pages. This spread highlights our flights there and back, as well as a trip to see the Hotel Del in Coronado, CA.
I am excited to share about the background paper on this spread. It is actually a photograph that I took myself of the Point Loma Area of San Diego, from the Coronado Beach. Read this tutorial on How Create Background Pages from your Own Photographs.
The left hand spread has a picture of my son and I on the flight, a festive Southwest Airlines flight attendants, the iconic LAX Theme Building, and the Frank the pug from “Men in Black” who was on our flight home.
The right hand page has pictures of the beautiful Hotel Del on Coronado Island in San Diego, CA. I bordered the pictures on both pages in a thin dark blue mat so that they would stand out against the background paper.
