2022: Oklahoma State Capitol 2

This is the second spread of my visit to the Oklahoma State Capitol. The dome on this building is incredible and so I decided to dedicate an entire spread to pictures from inside the dome. I chose a grey theme for this spread to mimic the color of the dome from the outside.
I used Cricut Design Space and my Cricut machine to design and cut out the dome on the left-hand page and the Oklahoma state cutout and matting that is on the right-hand page. I used the same inking technique as I did in the first spread to help tie these two Oklahoma State Capitol building spreads together. The inking technique was used on the Oklahoma Map outline as well as on the entire background sheet for the left-hand side and the torn edge border.
The left-hand page has pictures from inside the building looking up into the dome from different angles and zoom settings. I could not decide which ones I like best, so I used three without any cropping which meant that they covered the entire width of the page. I then capped those with a cutout of a dome, which is quite an intricate design and I had to be very careful with it.
The right-hand page has pictures of paintings that are inside the dome. I also used my Cricut machine and the “draw” feature and a pen to write the title block for this page, which also has the inking technique applied to the border.
As with recent spreads I have been videoing the creation of the spread which you can watch on our YouTube channel below:
