2016: Branson – Silver Dollar City 1
The second day of our Branson Vacation we went to Silver Dollar City. Silver Dollar City is an 1800’s theme park that will entertain the whole family. There are some thrilling rides, fun shows, and all kinds of stores for everyone to explore. Silver Dollar City has something for all ages.
The theme of this page was determined by the brown paper bag that we were given at one of the park stores. I carefully cut out the logo to display on this page, and then chose the brown bag papers for the backgrounds. I bordered the pictures and the brochure in black to help them stand out against the background paper, and to also make them look like the cutout from the paper bag.
The photos on the right hand page overlap and move the eye upward, to mimic the excitement of the first climb of the roller coaster. As is my usual practice, the brochure is affixed to the outside of the plastic page protector so that the reader can open it to view. And in keeping with the theme of this entire album, I used my sewing machine and copper thread to create the pattern that is on the two black borders on the edges of the spread.
