2016: Branson – Moses
One evening that we were on vacation in Branson, MO, we went to the Sight & Sound Theater and watched “Moses”. This show has ended, and they are getting ready for their new show “Sampson”. Sight and Sound creates amazing experiential shows with an amazing stage, special effects, and live animals! We were not allowed to take pictures inside during the show, so my one picture is of the Moses statue in the lobby, and the rest are postcards that I bought at the gift shop.
I chose a blue and tan theme for this spread for two reasons. The first is to match the colors of the program on the spread. The second is that with the blue borders, the spread looks like the sand of the ocean with the two sets of water on each side – the story that Moses is probably best known for – the parting of the Red Sea. I used a wave border and yellow thread to sew the double colored jagged edge borders to the left and right sides of the spread.
The ephemera on this page include the ticket stub (to show the date and time of the event), a sticker, and the program – which is affixed to the outside of the plastic page protector so that the reader can open it to see the inside.
