Spring Break 2017 – Orlando: Kennedy Space Center
While my son was at the paintball tournament I went and visited the Kennedy Space Center, something that I have wanted to do every since I was a child, and it was an amazing experience. I took a ton of pictures and created a six page spread using a Panoramic fold out page protector. The image above is of the two pages that you can see when the spread is closed.
I used my Cricut machine to cut out all of the images on this spread. The space shuttle and the astronaut I was able to find on Cricut Design Space, and I found the NASA logo through a google search for SVG files – which can be uploaded into Cricut Design Space. The background paper for this spread is plain black, and then I took white and gold paint and flicked it onto the pages with a dry paint brush to make it look like a star field.
This second image shows the 4 page spread that folds out from the Panoramic Fold out page protectors. You may want to click on the image so that you can see it in higher definition. I used star field background paper to look like we are in outer space, and bordered all of the photographs in black to help them stand out a bit. The ephemera on the page includes my ticket, the museum brochure, and patches, coins and stickers which I bought in the museum store. I attached the brochure to the outside of the plastic page protector so that the viewer could open it to read it.
