Spring Break 2017 – Orlando: Universal Studios – Hard Rock Cafe
I am not sure that I have shared this before, but I am a collectable pin collector. This collection started with my 2002 Europe trip and continues to this day. I think that I currently have about 500 pins. One of the things that I like to collect is Hard Rock Cafe pins, and I have them from all over the world. From time to time we also eat at Hard Rock, which was true for this trip. I think that the Universal Studios Citywalk Hard Rock Cafe is the best one architecturally that I have been to. It is built to look like the Coliseum.
I decided to theme this page around the Coliseum, and the shopping bags that we got when I purchased my Hard Rock Orlando pin. I chose a plain brown background paper, and then cut up the shopping bag to make the page borders, ad the borders for the photographs. I used the smaller bag that the pin came in to hold the swizzle sticks that held out sandwiches together.
I used my Cricut machine to cut out the Coliseum replica and centered that in the page to create a dominant feel on the page, which mirrors the dominance that the building has on the CityWalk landscape.
