2010: Disney World Title Page

2010: Disney World Title Page

In October of 2010 I was able to take my son and parents on a week long trip to Disney World.  This was an unexpected trip as I was attending a conference and we decided to go last minute.  My son and I had gone to Disney World in 2008 and I had created 2 full scrapbooks of that experience, and I did not want to create a new set of Disney albums for this trip.  So instead I create a Digital Scrapbook for the occasion (so that I could give my parents a copy as well), and then created a few pages of the experience that were included in my regular 2010 album.

2010: Disney World Title Page

This is the opening title page for the Disney 2010 Vacation section of my 2010 scrapbook. Many of these pages are designed with paper and embellishments that came from a scrapbook pack that I purchased at the Disney Hotel gift store. On this page this includes the 3D castle towers on the left hand side, and the border on the right hand side.

I cut the title using my Cricut Machine and a Disney Font Cartridge that I was able to find at a local craft store. I also added the envelope from our Disney transportation from the airport, and our “card tickets” that were being used at Disney at that point. These cards served as our hotel keys as well as tickets into the parks and making fast pass reservations. Now Disney is using bracelets for all of this which I think is way cooler – but this was cool technology for the time.

I used a circle corner cutter to round the edges of the pictures on the page to match the rounded corners of the key cards. Notice that one of the corners of each of the photos were cut using a scalloped cutter which makes them look like a cloud, hinting at the cloud background paper used on these pages. These pictures are of us taking the bus to our hotel (top) and to a park (bottom).
