2011: Spring Break – Surfing
While on our 2011 Spring Break trip to California I paid for my son to have some surfing lessons in Ocean Beach, San Diego. While we had lived in California before, he had not had opportunity to do much surfing, so this was a great opportunity for him to catch up on that experience. As usual, he picked it up much quicker than I had a few years before.
I chose beach and surfing themed background paper for this spread. I cut the edge of the photos using a wavy circular cutter to look like waves. I used a Jolee’s beach sticker set for embellishments.
I included pictures of the signs of the surf lesson business and a place that we had lunch in the top left hand corner to help remind us of those locations, as well as a gelato spoon from a bowl of gelato that we had on that day.
