2011: Hearst Castle – Page 3 – Outdoor Swimming Pool – Neptune Pool

This spread of the Hearst Castle visit features the outdoor swimming pool called the Neptune Pool. This is the most beautiful swimming pool that I have ever seen – surrounded by ancient Greek Architecture and luxurious Greek and Egyptian statues. The water is blue and clear and inviting. Unfortunately, tourists are not allowed to swim in the pool! Can you believe that this pool is over 100 years old?

I chose a blue diamond design theme for the background paper to match the tile in the swimming pool. The photos are laid out in a square pinwheel pattern, and I used a flower design corner punch to create the outside cuts for the photo matting. I put a colored pearl brad in the middle of the photographs. Unfortunately, this pearl brad is a little tall and it is causing the plastic page protectors to warp around them which is causing some of the glare lines that you can see in the spread photograph.
