2021: Spring Break 2021 – Manatee Adventure

While on Spring Break 2021 in Melbourne Florida my son and I stopped to see a canal where we said that some manatees normally could be seen. And sure enough as soon as we got there we saw manatees swimming in the water. While it was cool I will say that the other stuff floating in the water convinced me that I did not want to be swimming myself in there!

Due to the reflection of the sunlight the pictures did not turn out too well, and we could see more details in person, but I still wanted to make a scrapbook page of this part of our adventure – so I made sure that the page would stand out as the photos were not quite as good. Can you believe that these two manatee graphics were part of Cricut Design Studio? I designed the title bar on Cricut Design Studio and then cut all three cutouts using my Cricut machine. I made sure that the leftover paper from the cutouts were used to make the triple torn edge side borders and bordered the title, manatees, and photos in black to help them stand out against the background.

What I enjoy about this spread is that your eyes are immediately drawn to the two graphic manatees, and then you look at the pictures, and realize that the graphics help you to understand the pictures which are hard to distinguish.

Moving forward, for most of my scrapbook creations I have also created videos that show me putting them together and talking about the experiences as well as the techniques that I am using. So please enjoy watching this spread being created and assembled:
