2021: Spring Break 2021 – Melbourne St. Patrick’s Day Festival
While on Spring Break 2021 we went to the Melbourne, Florida St. Patrick’s Day Festival. This spread uses just one photo from the event, but has a lot of ephemera. I did not do a great job of taking pictures at this event, mostly because I had bags I was holding from items I had bought as well as street food in my hands which made having my phone out difficult.
I naturally chose green as the theme for this page since it was a St. Patrick’s Day Festival. The left-hand page includes my wrist band from the event as well as a plastic coin which came from the treasure chest on the table in the photograph of my son, and a promo piece from a coffee shop that we had stopped by. I cut the leprechaun and the title bar from the right-hand page using my Cricut machine. You can see that the clover left over from the title bar cut was placed on the bottom of the left-hand page.
For the right-hand page I chose to use the bottom part of a paper shopping bag from the event to hold other maps and brochures from the event and local stores. This is a great method to hold several pieces of ephemera that you want to be able to take out to look at when you are sharing your pages with others. You can see this in action in the video below that shows me putting this spread together:
