2021: Disney – Disney Springs

Our Disney vacation package came with a coupon for 20% off at one of several restaurants at Disney Springs, and so our first night we headed out to explore the nightlife. Disney Springs has multiple stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues including performances, bowling, a movie theater and more. You could spend a whole day at this exciting place, but we only had a few hours as we needed to get up early the next morning to get to Animal Kingdom for early park access.
I used Cricut Design Space to create the Title block from the Disney Springs logo, which I found online, and the balloon – and used the outline feature to blend them together. This graphic, along with the Christmas tree were then cut on my Cricut machine. The balloon was cut in blue to match the color of the Aerophile in the photograph which we took from the balcony of the restaurant where we were enjoying dinner.
The pictures are bordered in a very thin black border to help them stand out on the page, but also to not block too much of the background design. I also used a black marker to carefully outline the yellow mat on the title balloon graphic to help it stand out against the background, which came from a Disney cardstock stack. The red Mickey Mouse borders came from the same Disney stack which I embellished by adding a yellow torn edge border which helps the spread to feel softer.
From the pictures can you see that my son likes to have fun when I am taking pictures, and that he is much better at taking selfies than I am? I think it is probably because he has longer arms.
I am now also creating videos that show me putting these pages together and talking about the experiences as well as the techniques that I am using. So please enjoy watching this spread being created and assembled:
