2021: Disney – All-Star Movies Resort

While on our Disney 2021 vacation we stayed at the All-Star Movies Resort on the Disney World complex. The All-Star resorts are the most economical choice for staying on property and are very nice, even if small. In fact, on this trip the All-Star resort room price was only $10 more than the cheapest offsite hotel which made it worth it just for parking alone! The room we stayed in had two Murphy beds that when they were down gave us about two feet between the bed and the wall. However – I am ok with that – because – when we are at Disney, we don’t spend a bunch of time at the hotel – we spend all of our time somewhere else in the parks! Even if you do want to spend time at the hotel this resort has two great pools, entertainment for the whole family, and a great food court, and poolside bar.

The benefits of staying at a Disney hotel include free parking, free transportation, and early or late access to most of the parks on specific days. This was important to us as we want to go to areas that were very popular and we knew would have long lines, and getting there for early access helped us to ride attractions with a shorter wait. In fact, at both parks we got to do somethings more than once because of our early arrival time.

I used Disney Scrapbook pack paper and borders for this project and kept it fairly simple in design. The left-hand page has ephemera from the hotel including the “Do Not Disturb” sign, a baggage tag, and a coffee packet. I took the coffee baggie out of the packet as it made the page too thick, and I was worried about what it would do in the long run to the spread. I cut out the title block for this spread, and the door handle using my Cricut machine, after designing both using Cricut Design Space.

For the right-hand page I bordered the 4 photos from the hotel in solid purple to help them stand out against the background and used a Daisy Duck sticker from the Disney Pack to fill in the middle of the matting. The top right picture is the graphic that was on the wall behind the murphy bed, so it was pretty fun to see that when we pulled the beds down.

I am now also creating videos that show me putting these pages together and talking about the experiences as well as the techniques that I am using. So please enjoy watching this spread being created and assembled:
