2021: Disney – Animal Kingdom – Pandora
In my last blog I shared the title page for this 4-page spread which is housed in a set of Panoramic Fold-out Plastic Page Protectors. Today I am sharing the inside 4 pages. At the bottom of this blog is a video that shows all 6 pages being put into the Panoramic Fold-out Plastic Page Protectors so that you can see what the whole project looks like together.
For the top of the 4 pages I used the leftover cutout from the letters from the title page. In order to save paper, I tore it in half and used it on all for pages. I then used a jagged edge tearing tool to tear green cardstock to put in the center of the pages which gives an illusion of depth to the spread.
I very carefully selected photos to put behind the cutout letters – ones that would maximize what was shown, and then carefully cut them to size and attached them using cellophane tape. In the video below you can see what this looks like on the back. I created the “Flight of Passage” title bar and all of the plants on the spread using Cricut Design Space and my Cricut machine.
We spent a lot of our time in this part of the Animal Kingdom and so the pictures range from first thing in the morning on the left, to pictures taken at night on the right. Disney has done an incredible job of creating Pandora in that the sounds, sites, and smells change throughout the day, just like it would in nature – so visiting the same area three times during the day creates a different experience each time.
The stickers that you see on the two right-hand pages were given to us by a Disney Cast member – they are part of a passport stamp collection book that they were giving out children. Our philosophy about Disney is that when we are there that we are allowed to have joy like a child at what we are experiencing.
