2021: Disney – Animal Kingdom – Safari and Tusker House
This spread combines two events from our day at the Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney Resort in Florida. The left side has pictures from the Kilimanjaro Safari and an African musician that I listened to for about an hour. The right side has pictures from our dinner at the Tusker House Restaurant where I got to enjoy some of my favorite African food.
I used background papers from a Safari pack that I have had for a while and cut the Giraffe out using my Cricut Machine. I cut two of the photos on this page to be much thinner – it helps to focus on the animal in the photo, while at the same time allowing more space for the large giraffe cutout to dominate this page.
I also used my Cricut Machine to cut out the matting for the Tusker House restaurant photos on the right-hand side, which I designed in Cricut Design Space. If you have been following my blog, you will notice some of the same graphic elements in this mat that have shown up in the title page and on other pages.
I chose orange for the mat to match the colors of the walls in the restaurant and trimmed the photos down to better fit the three photos across the matting.
Currently, for most of my scrapbook creations I have also created videos that show me putting them together and talking about the experiences as well as the techniques that I am using. So please enjoy watching this spread being created and assembled:
