Europe Trip: San Gimignano, Italy and Spanish Steps, Rome, Italy
After visiting Florence, Italy, we started heading towards Rome. On the way we stopped for a short visit in San Gimignano, Italy which is famous for its silk. We then continue to Rome and visited the Spanish Steps. Notice that I included an inside joke on the page – “Watch your step Michelle!”. I included this as I believe that scrapbooks are supposed to evoke memories and to evoke questions from those that you are showing them to. In this case this quote references that funny event that occurred at the boat fountain at the bottom of the steps. One of my tour colleagues, Michelle, slipped and fell into the fountain here and was soaking wet! Notice the design work that was added on the right side page. This was done with the help of an embossing template (the swirls on the left side of the right page) and a paper tearing ruler – the wave design. I often use tools meant for one technique for something a little different.
