2016: Rockport, Massachusetts
When we were on our Boston trip we realized that we were so close to some other states that we felt like we wanted to take a day road trip to get a few more states on our checklist for our exchange student. The first stop on our quick day trip was in Rockport, Massachusetts so that we could go to the Roy Moore Lobster Company to eat some lobster. It is a hole-in-the-wall place with excellent and inexpensive lobster that came highly recommended by some friends.
I enjoyed finding the background paper for this spread. The lobster page came from the Cape Cod Paper cardstock pack shown at the bottom of this blog, and the Massachusetts paper I bought in a scrapbook store in Branson, MO while on a summer vacation trip that was right after this trip!
I thinly bordered the pictures in red to highlight the red lobster and to help tie the two pages together. The pictures are of our walk out to the end of the man made harbor – it was a beautiful day for pictures, even if there was a brisk breeze.
You will notice that there are the tops of two Rockport brochures on the left hand page. I actually made two pockets on this page, one to hold each brochure (Learn How to Create Pockets for Ephemera). This allows the viewer to remove them to read them.
