2017: Stitches – Not for the Faint of Heart
WARNING: If you don’t like blood you should not scroll down to look at this page!
This is a website for scrapbooking for men – so when something bloody happens in our family I still have to scrap it. Yesterday I shared the spread of my son’s time working at camp – well, while he was at camp he tripped and sliced his hand open on a piece of metal. The spread below is of the various stages of that adventure.
For this spread I chose a red and white theme to match the colors of the blood and gauze in the picture. I chose a white material background paper to mimic the gauze and hospital sheets. I bordered the pictures in red to help them stand out on the background, and used a triple torn edge border for the edges, alternating red and white.
My favorite part of this spread is that I used my sewing machine to stitch the border in a stitch pattern similar to the stitches on my son’s hand.
