Summer Road Trip 2017: The Peabody
While in Memphis I made a quick stop in to see the Peabody Ducks (5pm walk). The Peabody Hotel has pet ducks that make a procession into the lobby in the morning, and then back up to the their home at the top of the hotel in the evening. It is a long standing tradition that many people enjoy. If you want to get a good view you will need to show up about an hour in advance to get a good viewing location. For this spread I chose an elegant theme in yellows and browns to match the interior of the hotel. I cut the large fountain and the duckling using my Cricut machine. To help the cutout of the duckling stand out again the background I used a permanent marker to carefully line the edge of the cutout. I bordered the pictures and the postcard using a marbled paper to match the marble of the fountain.
