50th Anniversary: Alpine Coasters

50th Anniversary: Alpine Coasters

50th Anniversary: Alpine CoastersThis spread actually showcases two different events several days a part. Near the beginning of our time together I went with my mother to the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster with one of my nephews and she had a great time. At the end of the trip we were near the Rowdy Bear Mountain Coaster and so she and I did that one as well.  I have noticed that Groupon.com almost always has discount tickets for the 4 different alpine coasters that are currently open in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge Area.

For this spread I chose forest background paper to remind me of the woods that the coaster run through.  I then used my Cricut machine to cut out the roller coaster silhouette.  The left hand pages has ephemera and pictures from the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster which we rode at night, and the right hand page has pictures from our Rowdy Bear Mountain Coaster experience which we did during the day.  I bordered all of the pictures and ephemera in green to help them stand out against the busy background and the roller coaster silhouette.

50th Anniversary: Alpine Coasters - 2nd AlbumSecond Album: For my personal album I created a very similar spread to the one above. I used the same background paper and roller coaster cutout.  On mine I added torn edge borders and placed the items on the left hand page a little differently.

: Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster Watch from the rider perspective – this is not one that we rode – but it is fun to watch this video.
