2011: Spring Break – San Diego
For Spring Break 2011 we took a trip back to San Diego where we spent our first year together. I usually create an album just for our vacations, but this trip did not seem like it would have enough pages to justify a whole album so I included it into the 2011 set of albums.
The left hand page shows pictures from the Indianapolis airport at the beginning of the trip and arriving in San Diego and picking up our rental car – a convertible! The right hand page shows some pictures of us going to our old home stomping grounds on the campus of Point Loma Nazarene University.
I used blue background paper and then cut out the photo borders from sand and surfboard paper. Like the previous page, I used my Cricut Gypsy to weld together the border with an airplane and a palm tree to create the border. For the left side I also welded in the title words, but realized that it was pretty hard and so did not do the same with the right hand page.
I used a corner punch to round the edges of the photographs to match the rounded edges of the borders.
