2019: Tampa Vacation – Busch Gardens
On our last day of our Tampa Mini Vacation, we went to Busch Gardens which is an animal park and amusement park in one. I chose to use Panoramic Fold-Out Page Protectors for this day so that I could do something special with the park map, which you will see below.
This first spread is the two pages that will open up so that the viewer can see the inside 4-page spread. Safari themed background papers were used for the whole project, and on this page, I also used some themed papers to work as the borders for the photographs. I also placed a food armband on this spread. They were having a special that day that you could get all you could eat food for only $20 extra and I couldn’t pass that up!
When you open these two pages up you get to see:
One of the reasons that I used a panoramic fold-out page protector was so that could put the map on the left-hand side onto the spread without having to cut it. It is too big for one page and would look weird if I made a spread just for it. I thought about putting it in an ephemera pocket, but then I realized that I could slide it between two pages in the Panoramic Fold-Out Protectors without having to cut it. This is the first time that I have done this, and I am pretty happy with the outcome.
The two right-hand pages are of the animals that we saw during the day and also include some pressed pennies and medallions that we collected. My favorite part of the day was being able to get close to the tigers through a plexiglass dome that is in the middle of their area – see if you can see the closeup!
